Our History

Our history begins with the evangelistic work in the city of London in July 2007, under the leadership of the missionaries Deacon Flávio Gomide and Sister Fabiana Gomide through the Ministry of Small Groups called "Fellowship Groups" under the jurisdiction of the Assembly of the Central Presbyterian Church of Uberlândia - MG (IPCUDIA) – Brazil. The first official meeting of the Fellowship Group London was on 14 / 07/2007.

On 06/10/2008, after a year and three months of mission, the Assembly of the Central Presbyterian Church decided to send Rev. Ricardo da Mota Leite, reverend and member of the Assembly, for the first time to London to review this mission field, to minister the Sacraments of Baptism and Profession of Faith and encourage the continuation of the Christian walk of the first brothers and sisters converted and discipleship, fruit of the first stage of this work.

On 17/12/2008, a meeting between the IPCUDIA (represented by its pastor Rev. Ricardo), and APMT – Presbyterian Agency of Cross-Cultural Missions; (represented by its directors: President - Rev. Sergio Nascimento, Vice - President - Rev. Obedes Junior and Executive (Mission Base) Rev. Marcos Agripino), established a partnership for the glory of God and expansion of His Kingdom in England. This partnership determined that the leader of the European Presbyterian Base, Rev. Carlos del Pino would give pastoral assistance to the London group on a quarterly basis, focusing on church involvement and on reaching the local British and Brazilian community in England, with a cross-cultural missionary vision.
On 14/02/2009 the Presbyterian Congregation of London was formalized and officially started; recorded in the minutes as “daughter” of the Central Presbyterian Church of Uberlândia – MG – Brazil. At the time it was officially recorded that the "Fellowship Group London" would be recognized by the APMT and consequently by the Presbyterian Church of Brazil (IPB) as a Presbyterian Congregation, with Rev. Carlos Del Pino appointed to assist and provide the pastoral acts at the congregation until a full-time missionary is sent over to London.
